Honestly, this is pretty much the reason why I see myself leaning more towards AWS/GCP/Azure/DO/Linode/BuyVM. So many people complain about how they're all so much more expensive compared to Racknerd

Nope, most of attacks against ssh to my hobby projects comes from china & russian & popular big providers IPs (OVH, Linode, DO, Racknerds, BuyVM).

Quite interestingly, I saw you guys saying, most of the abusers came from DO, Linode, or cloud providers, but this seems to come from CHINANET Guangxi with a residential IP, which is quite rare?

manage.maxkvm.com (host on linode)

I'm already with Linode and would like to move away.

free linode, vultr, do credit

I think the Linode host is RAM overprovisioned and getting swapped. Not dedicated RAM. Binary search between 2048 and 4096 to see where shit goes sideways.

I'm on a "big memory" 24GB Linode. 2 cores of "AMD EPYC 7542 32-Core Processor".

Vultr Linode etc.. would have an option for IPv6 when creating the VM

Both Linode and Vultr provide IPv6 by default.
