Need to renew some wildcard ssl's I got last year. The suppliers all went out of business (who would have thought that....) and so I am looking for another supplier.

@Aene I've done this, and I did what @vfuse said, create a wildcard DNS record to point to a server (or a cluster of servers/load balancers, if needed), then do the actual work on the PHP/server sides

You can create a wildcard dns A record and catch all subdomains in nginx/apache and do stuff with it.

Forth The wildcard ssl is going to be implemented before launching to public, if i decide to do it now or next week is my problem.

An... innovation platform the owner of it cannot afford buying a wildcard ssl? And, if I understand correctly, every WP site will rely on a subdomain? Not their own domain?

Actually only a a few more weeks. Supposedly in Nov. That could slip a bit but it will probably be public by the end of the year. No wildcard certificates though.
