Actually it's the opposite. Many commercial SSL certificate providers (Sectigo, PositiveSSL, RapidSSL, etc.) refuse to generate certificates for .ru and .su domains. Free providers such as Let's Enc

.co.uk aren't citizen restricted though? I used to owned a .co.uk as a throwaway testing domain since its cheap and I'm asian not even in the uk. Hell its being squatted to oblivion too. Try to whois

The new rules mean a complete abandonment of anonymity when registering .in domains.

Shame, i got 3 letters .in domain for my personal use, because short & cheap.
