Irrespective you will have to pay for a total of 9 months to fulfill your obligations to Netcup per the contract.

true, you might go ahead and risk it - let's see how long it takes to the first complaints about being bootet by netcup after a week and have a collection agency send after to collect the money for th

I am trying to stick to Netcup, Hetzner, got a server from PHPFriends and will spend some time with contabo especially for their high ram and many core CPUs . Finally I seems to be with German provide

* Netcup if you can rise a little your budget (€5.29 for 4GB RAM, 40GB pure ssd)

I personally use a netcup "root" Server with 2 dedicated cores for normal usage. It's great, never had performance issues. It's also not that expensive (~6€ per month with 12 months

Not bad! Do you know which webserver they use? They give 6 domains with this package, is it .de only?

So I guess that you would say that netcup's Root-Servers, which also have "dedicated" vCores, are also not worthy of the name "dedicated"?

It's because Contabo is using older Xeons or Xeon Silver instead of the Xeon Gold ones over at Hetzner/Netcup.

Regardless of the short-term benchmark you probably can't keep sustained speed on any long running (multi hours or days) transcode or other cpu intensive task on any cheap VPS. The host will decrease

I yet to try Contabo, I see them cheaper on the higher ram/cpus than netcup RS plans. But there is an issue with 400 mbits limit even for local network, I yet to clarify with them. Your test is good,
