can you explain more about this? I thought Cloudlfare was pretty well regarded as a registrar other than the fact that you're forced to use their infrastructure/DNS

Use Cloudflare Free as a Reverse Proxy, if it gets taken down only your dns is taken down not your domain or site content. You can easily just make a new CF account. There really isn't anyone sim

I like Technitium or PowerDNS on a VPS or 2 but he.net DNS. Technitium has been extremely stable for me.
