Vercel and Netlify offer anycast DNS from ns1 for free.

Reasonable ISP's have been doing this for a decade or more since DNS and SNMP amplification attacks years ago.

dns.he.net or freedns.afraid.org - they’re both free.

But with NAT and ipv6, I'm thinking I'll have to use a domain name, that goes to cloudflare and then DNS to IPv6. Does that sound ok, or there is something easier?

vultr.com has free anycast DNS with DDOS

Anyone recommend a good (not Cloudflare) DNS provided that is reasonably priced for a few hobby (low usage) domains?

With a link to sell hosting services in their signature, I agree - they should know about DNS. It begs the question: Why did they create this thread? Spam? Trolling?

By stalking OP's profile, it seems that he should know about DNS, 👀👀👀

The problem is that we are not sure what the OP (@SnowStylez) wants. Do they want a ready-to-use DNS server, or help installing and configuring their own DNS server?

* How do I install and configure a DNS server (e.g., on a VPS) to be the nameserver for my domains?

It's nameserver registration process, not dns management

Domain settings > Advanced DNS > Personal DNS Server > Register Nameserver > Add Nameserver

1) You can install any DNS server of your hosting server like: BIND

LOA, Reverse DNS and Geo Location changes available. It can also be used with servers at US East, West, UK or India locations.

* Select and install your DNS server of choice (eg: BIND, PowerDNS, cPanel DNS only, DirectAdmin, Hestia, Technitium)
