Frankly, I don't think that you'll find managed Nextcloud for cheaper than Hetzner, so if you find €4.29 (+ VAT) / month too high, then you're out of luck

You can pack significantly more chickens (more than double based on GB6) in newer servers though. The cost (including power usage and colo space) per VPS could be the same or even lower.

Crazy stuff can happen in the clouds -- lightning, hail, hurricances, some would say UFOs, too, etc. Clouds can't suck the air from colo space because space is a vacuum.
