Disk are way too slow.. Is this really a storage server? I wonder would it survive a large bulk R/W..

I wouldn't assume that. There was talk of an offer with 8c/1g with tinyish disk yesterday. My web app would work perfectly in that configuration... In fact, I think all of my webapp nodes are 4g/2g/10
