They only refunded me to credit, which I used to get a different VPS (the initial VPS was unusable due to local network censorship of even distro update repos).

Mine is somehow working, but broken at the same time. Shows 0 cores, 0 GB RAM, 0 GB storage, won't let me log into the control dashboard, but the VPS is up and I'm SSHed into it right now.

I started both FreeVPS.org and FOSSVPS.org. I gave both of them away, and both seem still going pretty strongly! Which is great!

i think, if in 28 years you haven't learned to stay away from cheaper options - it's on you.. i can only boast 22 years of renting servers though, and i have 9 VPS with DeluxHost, so what do i know?

my view is that many here still could have their VPSs (at a decent price albeit maybe higher than Lewis' unsustainable one on renewal) if they had listened better and more and had tried to see Eric's
