Aside from custom coding, if someone's going to use the default either way, how does HB compare with WHMCS?

Hb provided custom coding service which helps to customize software a lot. That’s main benefit vs whmcs.

I was always a big fan of WHMCS starting up back in 2011 doing MC hosting and stuff like that, now I would prefer to build my own so you can customize it however you want without the headache of fitti

i get why people with old lifetime licenses are mad, i see that too on directadmin forums. and there may be cases with 1 license, 10 liceneses or 100s licenses, for sure.

Both are excellent for me. Blesta is closer to WHMCS. Clientexec has good support and a more delicate and modern interface. It is updated slowly and the promised 7.0 is far from being released.

If you were to approach someone who has been using Blesta for years, chances are they'd feel at home, nothing strange about it. And likewise, chances are WHMCS or ClientExec would feel strange to use

That's the very same reason I prefer CE. Plus the price also has an edge over WHMCS. CE is way cheaper, especially with one one-time owned license. And one more thing, the CE search feature is way sup

I would still pick whmcs, I tried blesta and used it since Jan and migrated to whmcs last month on 25th May. I've enjoyed my experience with whmcs so far since then.
