One free service that I frequently use is quad9 dns. Whenever I set up any router for friends or family I set Quad9 as dns server.

The "x.x.x.254" isn't the IP for my VPS, mine is "x.x.x.153" I assume it's something to do with their switch (?). It gets similar udp packets from google DNS to x.x
