Do you run containers on Proxmox or any VMs? The hit from nested virtualisation on Netcup is worse than native virt on a dedi, but if you only use containers this won't affect you.

Search ones with "dedicated CPU" like netcup Root Server.

Netcup also support custom Iso.

Netcup 6vCPU+8GB is 8.75€ on 12m contract or 10.50 € on hourly billing

Definitely a valid option on the list in addition to Netcup VPS and contabo

I am looking for a good affordable VPS (around 15-20$ for the VPS itself) close to what you can get with Netcup (VPS 1000) or Hetzner cloud for that money. But with affordable extra storage.

I don't use many German hosts, but I have Netcup too and they do the same pricing for everyone. Thing is Netcup has always been like this. No surprises.

If you want to run it 24/7 then go with netcup
