For us its pretty well known that we're well funded so things going BOOM in the night because we didn't cover our colo is extremely unlikely.

They aren't made for compute, these are not VPS', they are for storage only, mostly backup space, hence why they are so cheap. HDD of course since its storage, not for OS or compute work.
