Since they were bought by another company, I haven't heard a good thing about them. I believe Nord, Express and another major VPN are currently owned by the same company.

I don't even use a VPN at all

I use NordVPN, which while it's not my favorite, it works for some (basic geoblocking questions)

Yah, I did try setting up a Wireguard VPN on my RN VPS last year. It worked pretty well. But, again, no IPV6.

You don't need an VPN if you have a decent VPS that can be tuned into an VPN.

I have thought about VPNs for my issue as well. But, again, that's too much of a headache and I really don't wanna pay for VPN on top of my internet connection.

IPv6 doesn't cost extra. I often find routing to be different between IPv4 and IPv6. Sometimes one is better than the other. If you're using it as a vpn, wireguard, etc. you can switch the endpoint
