I used to run my own DNS for years (15+) using djbdns, bit of a learning curve with all the patches that needed to be included but stable, small binaries, uses almost no resources. No good GUI for it

Cloudflare is many things... CDN, DNS, ZeroTrust, email server, etc...

You can script changes with Cloudflare for free (I haven't tried he.net), so I've got my home server updating its DNS record whenever my ISP changes the IP.

I don't care so much how it looks (I understand, though), but I do want to have control over the dns records, so I can script changes. I run the master dns myself and use he.net for the slave dns ser

Do i need create DKIM & DMARC record in domain manager?. In your DNS Setup guide, i do not see it. Thanks advanced!

dns.he.net doesn't offer the 'vanity' NS servers you are looking for.
