Yea but the whole point I am not using kvm already is due to the performance hit of not being able to use baremetal hardware performance so that would defeat the purpose wouldn't it as then lxc would

LXC or incus can use qemu/kvm underneath the hood for better privacy and this would be the gold tier standard so I recommend you take a look into that if possible
