It can range from $10-40/m. Cloud providers like DigitalOcean / Vultr / Linode can provide the $40/m.

Eh, you'd be risking the reseller then, but I've never heard of a Linode reseller before. Reselling VPS plans is pointless unless it's an individual doing it.

Does anyone know a reliable Linode reseller?

Afaik most of the big guys do this? DO, AWS (Lightsail), Linode, Vultr all charges for BW overage (DO and Linode charging 2c/GB, AWS and Vultr depends on the location). iirc all has alerting features

I used to run a 10-12 user private CS server (128 tick) on a 2GB linode instance.

Or try something else like Linode, Vultr... or get a decent Lowendtalkbox with 0% steal.

Most cloud providers' system is built for hourly billing, and they still do that. E.g. lunanode will give you 1/720 of your montly allocated bandwidth every hour and subtract that with actually consum

Another option might be services that offer hourly billing - so you just create a VPS when you need it, then delete it when you're done. So total cost over the course of a year could be $15 depending

other hourly providers you might look at: Lunanode, intoVPS, mivocloud, vultr, DigitalOcean, and Linode. Note that Hetzner, Lunanode, intoVPS, and mivocloud are active to varying degrees here on LET.
