Hey, don't say that, the original authors of zPanel are on here, and they take offense to the fact that they're absolute dipshits in terms of security being pointed out.

Ive used a few free panels in the past but i didnt feel confident using them security-wise. Right now i pay $8/m for the Interworx panel through licensecart - i couldnt be more confident about this product! It manages security and auto updates the server, for me this peace of mind is definitly worth the $8.

Most people here are talking about this panel without ever using it
Zpanel is now Sentora so , i advise you to upgrade, there where some security problems with Zpanel in the past wich as far as i know solved (do a search on this forum)
There is a Sentora dev on this forum, maybe he can give you some advice

The problem was with the attitude and common practices of the developers, not just with the code itself. In code like that of ZPanel, it's practically guaranteed that more vulnerabilities exist, simply because of the poor development practices. Whether somebody has pointed them out or not, is irrelevant.
Unless the panel is rewritten from the ground up with proper security practices (eg. following defensive programming principles), it is completely reasonable to assume that it is still insecure, vulnerability reports or not.
I'd highly recommend learning how to manage sites without a panel.
