Dedicated Server providers without always attached KVM/IP?

Wondering how many of you have dedicated servers with providers and don't have access to a permanent KVM/IP?

I know a lot of providers only whitelist certain IPs for KVM/IP or make you connect to their VPN for KVM/IP access. And that's fine, I'm all for encouraging security of KVM/IP access.

Just wondering how many dedicated server providers don't provide a means to always have access to a KVM/IP for their dedicated server. Or are their more providers that don't provide this versus providers that do provide this?

Hetzner is another one, almost all their servers dont have always-on KVM, hell you have to pay for KVM after the first hour or whatever unless you bought a dell/whatever server

I havent used them in forever so im not 100% sure if this is still the case

Now, what I'm wondering. If your system shits itself and you need to rebuild it. Do they charge you or do you get free reinstall again?

If this is a desired feature, we can disable IPMI access on any of our servers. There's a few different ways we could go about doing this which would be easy to re-enable in the future (null-route IPMI IP, disable IPMI switch port).

If you want it to be more secure than that, most of our servers have an option to disable IPMI with a jumper on the motherboard. There would be an extra cost with this option since it would require labor to disable it and re-enable it later.

You use their PXE rescue system to install without KVM or IPMI.
