BuyVM / FranTech has ignored me for 17 DAYS. No support, no refund, absolutely NOTHING. I'm beyond f

I'm honestly at the point where I'm completely fed up with BuyVM / FranTech, and I feel like people should know what they're potentially getting into before giving this company their money.

On October 8, 2026, I purchased a New York 2 GB VPS with a Path.net DDoS-protected IP. My plan was to use it as a GRE relay for my dedicated server.

I was actually excited to get everything running, but I noticed something concerning while setting things up. My supposedly newly assigned protected IP already had 52 firewall rules and 48 application filters dating back to 2023–2024, long before I even became a customer.

Naturally, I opened a support ticket asking for clarification about these rules, the DDoS protection, and how to properly configure everything.

That was 17 DAYS AGO.

And guess what?

NOT. A. SINGLE. RESPONSE.

Not even a simple "Hey, we're looking into this."

Absolutely NOTHING.

I followed up multiple times. October 9, October 10, October 13, October 16, and October 20.

Every single message has been completely ignored.

And this is what genuinely pisses me off the most: I PAID FOR THIS SERVICE.

I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I wasn't demanding instant support or special treatment. I simply wanted answers to legitimate technical questions before routing my dedicated server's traffic through their network.

Instead, I spent days waiting, unable to confidently use the VPS for its intended purpose, while my paid subscription continued running.

By October 13, after FIVE DAYS of being completely ghosted, I'd had enough. I requested a cancellation and refund.

THEY HAVEN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED MY REFUND REQUEST.

It's now October 25.

  • 17 days since I opened the ticket.
  • 12 days since I requested a refund.
  • Multiple follow-ups completely ignored.
  • Zero responses from support.
  • Zero acknowledgment of my cancellation/refund request.
  • A VPS I paid for and never actually used.

How is this acceptable?

I understand that BuyVM is a budget hosting provider. I understand that I'm not paying hundreds of dollars a month for enterprise-level support.

But seriously, does being a budget provider mean you can just completely ignore paying customers for over TWO WEEKS?

I'm not expecting someone to hold my hand through setting up a server. I know what I'm doing. I just needed clarification about THEIR infrastructure and THEIR firewall configuration.

And now I can't even get someone to acknowledge that I want my money back.

It's genuinely infuriating to feel like you've basically thrown your money away and have absolutely no way of getting a response from the company that took it.

At this point, it's not even about how much the VPS costs. It's about the complete lack of respect for a paying customer's time and money.

I've wasted enough time checking this ticket, hoping someone would finally answer.

I'm seriously considering opening a PayPal dispute because I don't know what else I'm supposed to do when the company refuses to communicate.

I've attached a screenshot showing the entire ticket history, with my personal information blurred out.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience with BuyVM / FranTech?

Is this genuinely how they operate, or have I somehow managed to get the most neglected support ticket in their system?

Because after this experience, I honestly don't see how I could ever trust them with anything important.

    Sorry about that.

We moved away from Path at the start of last month and I've not had a chance to update Stallion to use the Terabit.io firewall rules. I'm the only one on the BuyVM side with direct contact with them so the guys likely pinged me about it but I missed it.

Truth be told we just got approval to do a Stallion rewrite since its such an old framework, and part of that would be proper integration with Terabit's API.

Can you share your ticket # and I'll get you sorted.

Does stuff like this happen often? The lack of reply I mean, not the firewall issue. Was contemplating NameCrane for email, but stuff like this is concerning.

NameCrane and BuyVM are 2 different companies now and also 2 different owners.
@Francisco is just helping out for the transition.

Does @Francisco still own or operate any part of his VPS/domain business? If so, what is it called now?

I'm completely lost with all these changes involving the .ca domain, BuyVM, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and everything else. And I'm saying this as an existing customer!

    BuyVM was sold.

I'm owner/CEO of namecrane which sells domains, shared hosting, email hosting, and something else soon!

Got it. I hadn't heard much about NameCrane, so it wasn't really on my radar. Thanks, everything makes sense now.
