Looking for a very cheap VPS in the Gulf / GCC for a personal WireGuard route

neighhouseneighhouse Member
edited October 21 in Requests

Preferred locations: UAE / Saudi Arabia / Bahrain / Oman / Qatar. Dubai or Riyadh ideal.

Budget: Cheap as hell, give me your lowest/best yearly option.

Specs: Barely matter. 1 vCPU / 512 MB–1 GB RAM is enough.

Need: Public IPv4, stable network, decent routing to Riyadh.

Traffic: Tiny. Even 100–200 GB/month is plenty.

Optional bonus: Datacenter has air defense.

Annual promos, low-end plans, lesser-known regional providers, reseller deals, and hourly options are all welcome. Already checking SurferCloud (currently out of stock) and Alibaba SAS (no riyadh). Curious if there are any obscure GCC providers or LET offers I’ve missed.

    Hey @neighhouse,

We have a small VPS option available in Dubai, UAE that might fit what you're looking for.

    1 vCPU

    1GB RAM

    25GB SSD

10Mbps network port, upgradeable up to 50Mbps

    Dubai, UAE datacenter

    Price: $7.99/month or $79.99/year.

The 10Mbps connection should be more than enough for your expected 100–200GB monthly usage.

If you're interested, just open a support ticket and mention this LET thread so we can arrange it.

I get it 😄 Dubai isn't exactly the cheapest location!

Just to clarify, this is a VPS hosted in a real datacenter physically located in Dubai, UAE. It's not a server in another country with a fake UAE IP geolocation.

With the maximum discount we can offer, we can bring the price down to $6.90/month.

That's about as low as we can go for this location.

If you're interested, happy to get it arranged for you!

Thank you, but like way out of my authentic LET budget. Your maximum discount monthly is still higher than the annual your initially mention lol. But I will consider this later if nothing works out.

Could you share a Dubai test IPv4 or Looking Glass so that I could do a latency test if viable.

@NexOasis (melbicom) has Fujairah location in UAE, but I don't think their DC includes air defense.

    ՞՞՞՞ links pls

Had AI look it up, no gulf nodes.

FreeVPS: community-run free NAT KVM VPSes for active LET/LES members. Current requirements include an established forum account, roughly 3+ months old and 50+ substantive posts. Current locations are mostly US/EU/Asia-Pacific, not GCC. freevps.org

FOSSVPS: free VPSes specifically for open-source developers with a good LET/LES reputation. Typical allocation is actually pretty generous: 2 vCPU / 4 GB RAM / 64 GB, NAT IPv4 + IPv6. Again, current locations are things like Frankfurt, Moldova, Romania, Buffalo not Gulf. fossvps.org

microLXC: another LET community free-hosting project, using LXC containers, historically with tiny 256 MB–1 GB plans. It also requires an established/active LET account.

NanoKVM: similar concept but using KVM VMs rather than containers. Historically around 256–512 MB RAM, 10 GB disk, NAT IPv4 with forwarded ports + IPv6, and also required an old/active LET account.

Old offers don't know if still active.

Sorry, I thought one of them had Dubai. Maybe it was removed, or more likely I was just wrong. Still, if you can use some other geolocation "free" is worth trying :P

EDIT: For anyone reading this for the purpose of a free VPS there's also serv00 that uses BSD. Fun labbing.

  • AMEA is not cheap right now especially with the instability .. what region are you in? can you settle for something outside but near this region?

    Why does that matter?

  • Just tell me the country you have in mind no need to be so vague about it.

    Well, where are you?

    Why does that matter?

    Because

    • You are requesting a VPS for a VPN (Wireguard) node
    • vpn by their nature requires low latency and decent network speed
    • your physical location determines what other choices are available that count as "low latency" or "have good routing"

If you want us here to name a place thats good, you need to say where you are, and then we could propose alternative options.

Otherwise I'll just guess that you are somewhere inside the gulf region and I would say Europe or Asia, e.g. Singapore or France/Germany.

    I understand, my apologies.

I already have VPS options in plenty of Asian countries including those with decent routing to Riyadh but nothing in the Gulf. I have made peace with the fact that cheap VPS in Gulf do not exist, I will try that ULightHost offer that is only for 3 months maximum and I've found a decent priced VPN that has a physical Dubai server (Windscribe, 30$ yearly BF sale) so I'll probably try that too.
