  • Yeah, I didn't get what I paid for from Ralph either. Wall of text below but this is the timeline of the shit show I had.

He agreed to credit me an extra month as my server was unusable for 80% of the first one. Took a week to get back online. Then the storage failed. Server was back up (although near unusable due to the network latency) to allow me 2 days of access to the server. About 8-10 days of usability out of 2 months. And also told me to pay for the 2nd month and he would credit another. I refused and got slapped with a late fee.

I haven't lost anything near as much as many people on here due to HostSlim's fuckery but he owes me €165.

Same story here, although my server is in NL. He never provided the extra IPv4, so after two weeks I just used a single IP with NAT.

Now the server has been offline for two weeks with lots of promises but still no fix. Luckily it was only a dev server, but I still had to spend time moving the test environment to another host.

    i love you @AirnodeHosting

i want to retract my previous statement. the server was picked up from nlighten, not qupra, so you can disregard everything else i speculated about (which you shouldve disregarded anyways because i said i had no proof and it's none of my business anyways, my business was getting my server which i did. now it's over)

Wasted far too much time trying to sort it out to the point where I don't care that it's irrelevant that I wasted money on it 🤣.

I did at first think it was just incompetence but unfortunately after reading his responses to some of the other guys on here I think it's obvious he's just a scum bag, not the businessman he likes to big himself up as on his YT channel.

  • Congrats on getting you server back! Kinda... @AirnodeHosting how much RAM there is and how much for it of course?! :_D

    Hi,

was the chassis cover missing already before or only after or just didnt it make into the picture?

In any way, congratulations! I hope with the next provider things will run a bit more smooth for you.

    Good luck!

nothing new, next time read the reviews before you jump on the good offer, try next @hostslick @Chunkserve and @Servitro

again, this wasn't about a good offer price-wise, price was not a factor. regarding reviews, i've seen overwhelmingly bad reviews regarding companies i've had a good experience with and overwhelmingly good reviews regarding companies i've had a bad experience with, so i can't pay much attention to what people say.

you're right though that i could've done more research and clocked some red flags early on, but it was a delicate situation i've already explained in the original post

    Hi,

    i did that.

But keeping a server open, because the temperature is too high does not mean that the provider will just keep your cover when he returns your server ;-)

But i think he actually did not return it but you let it pickup in the datacenter by someone right? And your cover was not there somewhere?

Hrhr, never heard of such a thing... provider takes the chassis cover home and keeps it...

    Hi,

We picked up the server on request of @naphtha .

Ralph told me in advance that there was not going to be a cover at location (becaus it was in storage). He asked me if it needed to be shipped later on, which is still possible but prob not needed. Something is shorting out on the board or cover and that is why it was taken off or something (i didnt test it ofcourse, just picked it up).

There was a remote hands request to derack the server (which was done very quickly by there new dc location) and the cover was not at that same location.

Also working on picking up a second server (that is also in storage) also at the same time, but we are picking it up later on. Becaus we have to wait for someone who has acces to the storage ofcourse.

But until now Ralph has been very responsive and nice with me. Happy to have this server this quick without any issues, so a very thumbsup to him abt the communication with me.
