I was talking to a friend last night about the prices and I got a colo server back last week that was used for game servers. Going to use it for VPS now but the RAM was like $500 back then and I looked on Newegg last night and the same RAM was $5000+

A good deal is one that's cheaper than average. If the average price of stuff goes up, a deal that was a bad deal one year can be a good deal the next year.
