Server to server transfers.
Well, there's several way to do this. But you should transfer the small files first (think those with size below 8 or 32MB). After a day or a week later, use hourly billing server at least 2GB, then do chunked upload (configure max upload thread to 1 and chunk size 1GB. Remember, this will make 1GB box OOMed). Ideally, you need as much RAM as possible to make bigger chunk because gdrive counts 1 chunk upload = 1x API upload
When you run a command like rclone copy remote1:bucket remote2:bucket, the data flows through the machine running rclone. It downloads the file from the source and uploads it to the destination. Your local machine or server acts as the middleman and needs the network bandwidth and temporary system memory to handle it.
