Cheap NAT VPS
Looking for cheapish NAT VPS that can be purchased for half a year/year ~5/6$
500-800Gb traffic, 152-196RAM, 5GB hdd, can be NAT, EU locations
They die like flies (just 5 died this year) so I'm not interested in "le expensive but good solution" as it will die too (either on the seller's side or blocked by my government)
Not interested in WebHorizon and their offshoots (NATVPS, etc) (terrible service, outright scam). Not interested in Khan and their offshoots (unusable uptime, constant blackouts)

C-servers?
???
@backtogeek
https://hosting.gullo.me/pricing by @Cam is the answer.
My VMs fly, not die. Been flying for 5+ years, not this one.
Uptime is better than some more expensive hosts.
TierHive
I used it a while back it was too slow for me. The software I run is not particularly heavy but even that was too slow.
I dont need a full-fledged VPS, I need a NAT VPS one
And it does not matter how good you think your stuff is, if your IP gets blocked by my ISP I have to move on regardless. Even at 5$/y it is not cheap because it happens VERY often
I'm interested to know why they get blocked by your government.
lol:
Sorry, but this approach is very likely to fail.
These days low-end providers can be counted on the fingers of one two hands.
If you're facing IP blocks frequently, you'll run out of options very soon.
Moreover, it's NAT. There are other people with the same IP.
You better either get something exotic / not too popular (less common ASN), or change the unfriendly ISP.
Tierhive and/or Gullo
Everything is likely to fail when you have nazi goverment.
It is what it is so we will chug along with whatever acceptable options available
TierHive has 13 locations now and free trial credits on sign up to test and we don't collect personal data and refuse as much data as legally possible by design.
Micro instances start from around $0.10c per month equivalent (hourly) and cost a lot less when powered off as we only bill for storage when powered off.
Enjoy.
As mentioned earlier, Gullo has decent prices but its I/O (both disk and network) is very low
Thanks guys for the mentions!
Im not sure which locations you have tried in the past, but we have some locations with NVME drives which im sure would meet your performance demands. Take a look here,
https://hosting.gullo.me/plugin/support_manager/knowledgebase/view/31/looking-glass-test-ip-s/3/
We also sell additional bandwidth in blocks of 125GB for just $1/year. Your bandwidth will still reset monthly.
No sweat if you're not interested; just want to make sure you know our capabilities because I have a feeling we would be a perfect fit for your project.
Thanks!
It was a year or so ago, I tried to move around with multiple locations. Basic shadowsocks, for example, really struggled to run even when I upgraded to 256RAM and similar picture exhibited on every other node - the I/O in general was struggling.
