So what is the problem here? Does Australian law prohibit doing business in Australia if a company is registered in India or any other country? Please point me in the right direction if I’m missing something.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand that many hosting companies use datacenters in different countries. I was just curious because the company appears to be registered in India, and I wanted to know whether the service is primarily targeted at Australian customers or available worldwide.
I also noticed that checkout is in USD and there is no INR pricing. Since the company appears to be registered in India, I was a bit surprised, especially as PayPal payments between Indian businesses and Indian customers are generally not supported.

That level of defensiveness is super sketchy. When you've made such a show that everything is within Australia, with the parent company in India makes an Australian ask how credible those statements are. Usually if a company specializes in one area, they're a company here. After all, if it turns out your statements are not true, no Australian is going to be able to do anything since you're in India. There is no local company to deal with.
the question was a typical question to ask. The defensiveness and aggressive answer is big red flag.
I agree, my comment came off as aggressive. but that agreeness was not towards op questions, but for my own decision to launch an AU location, because i thought that maybe i missed some of the au laws while doing my initial research for a moment.
