What happend to the network ?, most normal site which would've open its now returning 403. gemini, gcp, oracle,& many more
It seems that today was the first morning in the last week when I woke up and did not receive any notification about the server shutdown at all.
The question is how long this happiness, which should be commonplace, will last.
Am I correct in understanding that all incoming UDP traffic is blocked on the IPv4 network?
For my VPS IPv4 is blocked completely by GSL in both directions, incoming and outgoing since yesterday. Seems like they are not able to handle the DDoS and blackholed all traffic. IPv6 works fine.
Despite the fact that the VPS is not usable, at least it does not crash any more.
Same for me. Even for ping returned timed out. @DeluxHost
Is that video related to the attack?

4 hours VPS migration promise is turning to 24 hours or days migration again. I know DELUXHOST are not bad team but this team like to promise a bird still in the bush as if it is already at hand. Please quickly fulfill this migration. Let me achieve my business goals too on time no time for me to keep waiting for migration successful message over 10 hours like this. This over delay is not helping at all
3 months old, so probably not unless they're back at it again
If i saw this correct (yesterday), ICMP and UDP were also blocked on IPv6 as soon as traffic was routed over GlobalSecurityLayer.com. Currently it's not.
Incoming ICMP and UDP are blocked.
Incoming TCP as well as Outgoing ICMP, TCP work like a charm.
Haven't tested Outgoing UDP but that is less important.
For me incoming ICMP is blocked, thus Uptime Kuma complaining about server not pingbale.
Not from all IPs though, pingable from my home IP, not from some other VPS.
For my VPS, ipv6 was never routed over GSL.
Seems to be different according to the VPS/network then, in my case all ICMP, UDP and TCP, ingress and egress ends at at a GSL hop im AMS, for over 17 hours now, no IPv4 at all.
Good morning, as you may have noticed, our upstream networks have temporarily applied very stringent filters that may cause problems for some customers or certain applications. We are working to resolve this.
There will be great news for everyone tomorrow.
Since yesterday, however, we have not detected any successful attacks.
That may be another 24 hours outstanding hope. I will like to remind you again sir that my 2 F-SERIES VPS are still not working at all and there is still no update on the very soon migration notice I received yesterday. It is almost 24 hours I have received the very soon migration notification sir. still no success notification received from your team. This is not the 4 hours migration time you mentioned yesterday again sir.

Thanks!
@DeluxHost are you planning to reimburse all your customers or only those who open tickets?
What good news can we talk about if, even without an imaginary attack, the connection is practically dead by evening and keeps dropping? VNC is at 0–3 fps, more often 0. Right now, there’s no connection to the VPS at all.
@Lebbo it's not imaginary, a simple ping to your server will show clear patterns of degradation caused by DDoS
after they blackholed all the IPv4 traffic it was working fine over IPv6, but probably the attacker noticed and switched to IPv6 because I'm now seeing the same pattern of latency spikes and packet loss on the IPv6 address too (IPv4 is still blackholed)
this is why I insist randomly updating firewall rules is not really a solution to a DDoS...
Now the attack seems to have switched to ipv6... Packet loss about 85%, VPS dead. However ipv6 is still routed directly as far as I see, no GSL involved(?)
Well, now we're seeing IPv6 packet loss, and on top of that, disk I/O errors have started up again, so the server needs to be rebooted)
GSL for a few hours now on both IPv4 as well IPv6.
ISP: KPN (The Netherlands)
Echhh ..
How long this is going to last? its been fking 1 week since problem
@DeluxHost can i get a partial refund for my vps? performance and uptime still dont satisfy me
Since yesterday, however, we have not detected any successful attacks.
Ah, no attacks since yesterday. It’s easy to have zero successful attacks when you’ve got zero working servers to attack. Brilliant security strategy, truly.
Ticket #UAW-355899, Order Number: 8148029909
Please refund, the service is completely unusable
The service has been dead for a week — right now included. What are the odds of resurrecting it on dead hardware while pinning the failure on attacks? Rhetorical question.
Two weeks of 'great news' and I still can't even ping my own server. That's 'great' by your standards, is it?
Let me rephrase it. There maybe good news for everyone tomorrow from Deluxhost. We will migrate your VPS to another data center. Migration will be done within 4 hours. Going to 48 hours migration still not happening. We are fixing the server within couple of hours. 1 week passed no success on fixing. Stop bringing bird that still flying in the bush to table
Like I already told you, this cowboy operation is going nowhere. They can promise you gold-plated mountains all day long — the services are staying down. You can't polish a turd, no matter how many 'great news' announcements they wrap around it. As the old saying goes: when you discover you're riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount
