Nah he's a happy customer who just hates everyone on LET for not loving VeloxMedia. He particularly hates anyone with a dino profile for some reason, all of them. Maybe he's an enemy of DAS. He also went on Reddit calling people lames for not liking VeloxMedia.
Yeah, I agree @VeloxMedia has acted like a proper twat. Sad to see Eric and Lewis trying to connect the dots and remain operating.
And yeas, you're right. We've been proven wrong when endorsing Velox on their sales. We should've known better.
I'm ever so offended at you calling me a loser. Shame on you with that crude language.
ow on Reddit even? I usually don't go there unless discussing some 'grey area' stuff. Might check it out.
Some news from China
User asks for IPv6 address but get response ask for KYC otherwise termination in 7 days

A 3C30G VPS suddenly becomes 1C1G and will be terminated (That 1C1G VPS is a "watchdog vm working to clear the IP reputation" which means it even does not belong the user.
)

everytime i read veloxmedia something dies inside of me 😩
And, this is only 5 months after the purchase. The survival rate is crazy low
I should frequent NS more often.
Truly bollocks media
Seems lots of servers are being terminated today. Go check if yours were not deleted in January.
Extortion mails sent beforehand or did they just remove them?
Don't know exactly. Perhaps the notification is included in that KYC verification request email before.
Right -> KYC request -> impossible to pass -> server deleted
Oh fuck... Looks like Eric finally figured out one of my alt accounts...
Oh well... Ones still alive and kicking.
Did you make your first name andrew and last name "from legal"?
Lol, don't give me any ideas now!
First name: Andrew, Last name: Last, Address: 127 DoubleZeroOne, Place: Legal
Hmm, If I remember correctly, lewis also uses stripe right?
I was completely out of the loop on the VeloxMedia situation until my server suddenly went dark. It looks like I'm one of the later casualties in this exit scam wave.
I signed up for a Black Friday 2025 3-year deal and paid by credit card. When I noticed the server was offline today, I opened a ticket. "Eric Banks" replied and bluntly told me the deal was cancelled. No refund, no warning, and no explanation.
I am going to initiate a chargeback with my bank. Hopefully, it works out.
Like a week away from 6 months. Let us know, my credit card is 90 days but my services are still working.
The scam remains ongoing...

Does someone have a tldr on this? Is it another verified provider that was a scam like racknerd?

Tl;dr VeloxMedia was once owned by a guy named Lewis. He sold the company to a guy named Eric, said we're in good hands with him, then disappeared. Eric claimed he had no obligation to honor contracts that Lewis made (in other words, stating that he bought the company assets without buying the customer contracts). Drama ensued and Eric got mad and started terminating the VPSes of LET customers (and other customers who weren't making him enough money) without refund, then got banned. Some believe that he occasionally comes up under new names to defend VeloxMedia, which is why you got accused of being Eric in the thread where you criticized a customer that Eric kicked out.
Might want to add. RN isn't a scam... There's not even the slightest indication they're a scam.
Love em, hate em, whatever. Scam? I don't see it
Racknerd just scammed everyone in one of their DCs because they can't afford it anymore. Bait and switch scam.
Sounds like the same as Velox scamming some but not others
The difference is that they did not terminate customers without refund. They just migrated to a new DC. Whether or not that's a problem for certain customers with niche requirements doesn't change the fact that that's very common within the hosting industry. Migrations happen so often that kernel features are added to Linux specifically to make the live transition smoother.
If a user has a specific reason for needing DC2 but not DC3, I'm sure RackNerd would be willing to refund them (as I believe they mentioned). But for most customers, all they care about is that they got a VPS in LA and it stayed in LA.
Even migrating to cheaper hardware is not unheard of. Sometimes you buy a server and find out it's a nice EPYC, but then later you look again and it's an aging E5v4. That's normal (although disappointing) and not a problem unless you specifically bought a service advertised as running on AMD EPYC.
@mainmod If you stick around, you'll find that we get a lot more drama and a lot more controversy than something as banal as a datacenter migration.
They didn't. Also, big difference between them and Velox is they can actually afford it lol. Velox is just some broke ass skid wannabe.
Unlike Velox we know who the owners of RN are. They real people. Like em or don't, they're real and I bet they here to stay in the foreseeable futures as they have a massive following.
It's ok to change customers to different products than they sold them?? Sounds like they both scammed the same. Just some users scammed more than others.
Anytime a company doesn't offer what they promise is a scam
