This Geekbench 6 score is very close that of dedicated 2x vCores for AMD EPYC 9655.
So, this YABS is, likely, done on a empty or quite node.
9950x is preferred, in my opinion
4x vCore 9950x / 8 GB / 100GB
Its one of our new nodes, that we are currently testing. As we are no "Patron Provider" or "Host Rep" we wont promote anything from us here. But to foreshadow, we will hopefully make an offer when we are an approved provider.
We can assure you that this YABS is not fake! We just wanted to know the performance gains over an EPYC Genoa and thought it would be interesting for others.
LevelOneTech once did an excellent video on that debate. As far as I remember, he said that a better GB6 score doesn't even indicate that the CPU performance in a real-world scenario is better. (Even for single threaded) Cant find that video because it was a side topic
Wasn't even sure if I wanted to respond to this statement, as it doesn't really invite a debate and seems more like a personal preference.
But just to give my two cents:
You can't really compare a Ryzen with an EPYC.
Most Ryzen servers lack a redundant power supply and don't offer nearly the same number of PCIe lanes as an EPYC. Depending on the workload, this difference can be significant.
A more fundamental comparison would be the L1, L2, or L3 cache.
The Ryzen 9 9950X has 64 MB of L3 cache, whereas the EPYC 9655 has 384 MB.
Another critical difference is memory bandwidth:
The Ryzen 9 9950X has a theoretical speed of 96 GB/s, while the EPYC 9655 can reach 576 GB/s.
Not to mention, an EPYC generally offers greater stability.
To circle back to Geekbench, the multi-threaded score should be very similar to that of a 4-core VM from this node.

The problem seems to be that ip6.me/api returns a cloudflare IP, and the real IP is in the field that's supposed to be for the IP in the
X-Forwarded-Forheader.My guess is that ip6.me switched to proxying through Cloudflare recently, and isn't handling it correctly at the moment and returning the IP of the proxy.

I know PQ around 10 years. This is one of the few hosting companies where I would not keep serious projects, too many problems arise, ddos, downtimes, etc.
Similar network speeds are probably on all their praised 10 gigabit channels in all locations.
After the test I deleted the server, I just don't need it, its PQ. If you install VPN on this server, the connection will be frequently broken, if you install a website, there will be some other downtime. A lot of problems and nervousness.
