And Plesk too π
We'll need to borrow some money to pay cPanel accounts lmao
glad i got out of hosting business when i did, so stressful
Whmcs too
Make an topic about that so we can cry more.
They increase the price for 2025 too? i didnt get email for it.
DirectAdmin
The only reason i would not provide shared hosting on DirectAdmin is the big headache of migration between old to new machine.
DirectAdmin Live transfer when?!
What about SolusVM? Anyone use SolusVM here?
SolusVM hasn't raised pricing yet, but I'm guessing they will do at some point.
As a refresher, old cPanel prices. Announced in Sept, 2021, gone into effect on Jan 1st, 2022:

Sad
What does cPanel even do that is better than DirectAdmin? Anything?
At this point, every provider should just expect annual price increases on various licenses and account for it accordingly.
Looks like a big hike for the season.
FUCK WebPros WebHoes
Greedy ass bitches!
Hi,
yes, and i love from which address it came:
WHMCS hello@whmcs.com
... right in your face :-)
The WMHCS pricing, for those curious.
Since WebPros has bought cPanel and WHMCs the prices are like 100x bigger but it's basically the same product, vague updates and zero improvements
Previous prices on WHMCS:
Plus 24.95$ (-5$)
Professional 39.95$ (-5$)
Business 59.95$ (-10$)
Business 2500 124.95$ (-30$)
Business 5000 224.95$ (-10$)
Business 10000 374.95$ (-15$)
They are not consistent with price hikes and it does seem most hosters are at the 2500 client mark, because it's the most affected.
Even with the reselling cut, this is very high: we are talking of increases between 20% on Plus, to 18% on Business, to somewhere just under 25% on Business 2500.
Glad I moved...
Can cPanel still be considered low-end?
Couldn't agree more with this
Couldn't be, already.
Welp, looks like I found my hopping off point. When the VM is $33/yr and the license is $25/mo there's a problem.
Finally have a reason to give NameCrane's migration tools a test.
@Francisco Any possibility of restocking slices due to the DA needs of some moving?
Yeah this is the end for me.. Got a VPS with one website and the new solo price is just too much.
So with that said, someone know a good way transfer everything to DirectAdmin from cPanel? (my VPS running Ubuntu 22.04) Thanks for the help!
I pinged akash to see whatβs up for today. If youβre good with a reseller then cranes a great fit.
Francisco
Directadmin has a converter. You could also come to namecrane, we got that shit automated.
Francisco
You're pushing DA an awful lot there Fran, got stake in the company now? π―π€£
Nope. DA has been good to BuyVM over the years, so I try to return the favor.
