My bank cannot send email to my mailbox hosted on mxroute

I cannot afford to lose mail
Did you enable a lot of these hidden custom filters?
I need to receive all mails. Sometimes non-spammers misconfigure their servers and I also need these mails...
Why would you use thousands of domain names for non-spammer hunting purposes? Just get your own server(s) and configure that goddamn receive-only email server!
It is for different project. Where I do not receive spam, but need to see all mails.
So, get own server and configure email receive there, I see zero reasons to "offload" it to an ESP.
This is suitable for offloading. Just dozen domains. Low volume of mails.
But do not need any filtering, because legit emails are being filtered.
I am so confused...

^ This does not work as needed. As you can see, lose legit mail due to this...
If you lose legitimate mail, adjust your filters or open a support ticket.

I already disabled, you looks like reenable it again, with the setting - delete.
If you do not enable any spam filters on your account, we will enable it with settings to reject email that scores 25 or higher with SpamAssassin (The 25 number is subject to change). If you disable it, we will re-enable it.
What happens if the settings are changed to "reject email that scores 69696969 or higher"?
Effectively there would be no filter.
Every customer flooding our support tickets: “I get too much spam, make it stop!”
One out of every 10,000 forum users: “I don’t get enough spam let it through!”
If I ever kill myself this will be the reason. I give you settings, use them. I can’t make every god damn person with entirely opposite and conflicting goals happy at all times. Use the god damn settings or open a god damn ticket and tell me your god damn problem in god damn specific detail one at a god damn time.
Thank you. God damn.
FYI @tsoft has a spam analysis project, his goal is to receive as much spam as possible to track abusive IPs. He essentially wants all possible inbound filters to be disabled.
He chose poorly. I have a full service to run and actual customers with real mailboxes to care about as my primary concern.
This week I’m already dealing with SA running out of default configured child procs thanks to spam campaigns from Office 365. Unlimited inbound spam has consequences for system administration.
Can understand... but on the other hand can lose important non-spam mails, like that ^
will need to restart work on cPanel...
I lost a lot of mails
What is bad, is that these missing non-spam mails are not even listed in logs. You will not ever know that someone sent you these mails.
Or another case. Do you know how many people misconfigure mail servers? Like this bank from TS (just in theory).
And will lose all these mails from real people.
Open. A. Ticket.
I mean seriously are you just here to whine or do you want to solve a problem? Because I keep hearing about all of these legitimate mails not even appearing in the logs!
Well fine! The “logs” refers to a closed source DA function that will probably never work right because I can’t customize it, and if customers really don’t want it I’m happy to disable it. I really am. But some users seem to prefer having it to not having it, so I leave it there. Need me to get rid of it for just your account? I can look into it.
All I’ve seen is you didn’t get a bounce email, and I fixed it. And now you’re just complaining. Are you on drugs? Are you not listening to me? Open. A. Ticket.
If you have a problem I have all of these paths to get support. In the “Important account information” email it detailed how you can get support. I didn’t see “hijack someone’s LET thread and keep saying the same thing repeatedly in short amounts of time like a coked up monkey” in there but if you send a screenshot of that in a support ticket I’ll get to that too.
But no real option as for now if you tolerate that your clients can misconfigure mail servers or do not want to lose any mail
mail.ru - own mail filter, cannot disable, bounce in russian
yandex - the same
gmail for domain - +/- can disable, but not 100%
namecheap - here you can disable jellyfish and works good, but suitable for receving low volume only, as previously said, anyone who send >1k mails to you can take down your account
mxroute - custom filter that create problems
will try mongo
but yes, agree with @tentor, nothing better than own server (with cPanel).
@jar
dont be that angry. I sent you a proof that you lose mail, on previous page. People may not receive mail on your service, silently.
Also, mind your language.
If you are angry, this is not a reason to take it out on your clients and use such words. FYI, I do not consume even alcohol, saying such words is so offensive, but as an intelligent person I’ll ignore it
PS tried mango mail, but well domain setup script is not suitable for my case, need to reconfigure absolutely everything in the domain.
Imho, mango need to redesign this page.
Do not remember the nick of the person, if you read this, pls make it flexible.
@jar Was @Liso 's issue in the OP resolved?
You don't need any panels for spam analysis.
Write your program listening on port 25 directly.
Analyze inbound messages in real-time and upload to the collector.
Maybe partner with @jtk and use inbound port 25 on dataplane.org collection network.
panel is easier. I run multiple projects.
for this exact anti-spam I receive / buy traps from different sources, so panel is easier to just add new entries.
Wait, so you think MXRoute is resposible for other people having mis-configured their mail servers? Get real. That's a them problem. Go complain to them.
You do seem a bit....unhinged.
Not on our side at least. Their bank appears to be having trouble with DNS resolution.
And again:
Sorry I ran out of my quota of fucks for hijacked LET threads. All further fucks are earmarked for support tickets.
It is just a possibility.
Get real - you cannot say your (potential?) clients "configure your mailbox first, then contact me" - most / all will not contact you again. You would better receive mail, than missing it.
But the case I provided on previous page was not related to this. ^ It is just a real-world example.
I am absolutely ok. If a person says such words, it only shows culture.
You can definitly tell them that you didn't get an email they sent, its probably because their mail server is mis-configured and there are probably other people not getting their mails too. They'll probably thank you for it. In fact, it's definitly the decent thing to do.
No no don’t you get it? There are only two parties involved in a transaction when an email is sent to an MXroute customer. If the MXroute customer doesn’t receive it, the two parties are defined like this:
It’s 100% always my fault if someone doesn’t get an email, guaranteed. Especially after that one bounce email didn’t come in that one time, which is absolute proof that everything which fails on the entirety of the internet afterward is my fault.
Look at the scenario:
-> Someone sent you a mail
-> Your mailbox bounced or even worse, just deleted message without a bounce
The bounce may even be a false positive in order to satisfy other people "who receive too much spam".
You miss this person.
I recently worked with lawyers in Canada, all had invalid dkim
Ok. Forgot to configure it properly in the domain. But the lawyers communicate with the Canadian gov from these mailboxes, and even the gov does not bounce because it tolerates such cases. If they bounce, the gov work may stop
Misconfigured mail server doesn’t mean instant rejection, and that one bounce email being silently discarded was not evidence of continued behavior nor was it relevant to anything other than that bounce. But you’ll never know better because you’re just here to trash talk, you don’t want me investigating the problems you’re having. If you did, I’d have a god damn support ticket.
