easiest webhosting panel

  • I really like CyberPanel.

  • I've used a variety over the years:
Cloudpanel: Liked it and it's simple, but have always preferred Apache. Lightning-fast and super easy for beginners.
HestiaCP: Haven't used it recently but I used Vesta extensively and it worked OK. Can be a good choice depending on your needs.
FastPanel/aaPanel: Tested both out and liked them, but I've always been wary of these newer companies offering stuff for free. Definitely preferred FastPanel more.

Honestly would say CloudPanel is your best bet. Unless you're willing to pay, then DirectAdmin's cheap license is the way to go.

    Thanked by 2gbzret4d Chuck
  • Hestia is brilliant, one thing to note though is that it doesn't support IPv6 yet. They've stated they are aiming perhaps for partial support in v1.9 when it comes out and it looks like there has been some work on it this year here but it's been "coming soon" for years, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

I tried aapanel but im not sure since its a chinese product. If you buy it directly on their chinese website its 5€ per year https://www.bt.cn/new/pricing.html#linux

Do they have an English interface for ¥699?

  • 禁止将堡塔产品用于含诈骗、赌博、色情、木马、病毒等违法违规业务,堡塔公司将对违规使用者封停其账号及服务器IP安装更新堡塔产品。

They also don't allow adult or gambling 🤣🤣🤣

  • tinycp is the best.

@gbzret4d said: Which of the paid options can you recommend? I would host only 1 or 2 domains just to play around. As far as i understood, enhance can be installed on more than one server, you only pay a minimum of 5$ and then they charge for every website hosted?!

Paid? I would recommend Runcloud or Ploi. I don't know about Enhance. It has unique pricing though.

i need a gui, im too noobish to manage it only from a terminal

Ah okay, i love CLI-based though hahaha, like WordOps or Webinoly. Years ago i used VPSSIM, but i think it's not well maintained, so i switched.

A big plus for me would be a panel with a backup solution included.

Plesk. It's probably also the most "cleaned up" panel in the industry. If you are really looking for "easy", it's the best choice. If you're looking for "cheap" (it sounds like you are from your other posts), then, well, you won't find a great panel. There is a reason why some cost more money than others.

  • Paid : i always go with directadmin
free : i usually go with cyberpanel but usually its been having a lot of bugs and problems with installation and hosting websites

Cloudpanel looks good but it wasnt working both times i tried and i didnt bother with finding the issue and fixing it

yes but you need to register with a chinese mobile number. aapanel is their international panel which costs much more compared.

Like cPanel, DirectAdmin also got away with resellers. You would have to purchase license from them directly.

dont think there are cheaper resellers for directadmin, licensepal.com has cpanel (only 5 cents cheaper but you get crypto payment option)

dont go with shared licenses, they are cracked and not legit

any of those free/opensource control panel (besides cyberpanel and cwp) has waf feature (for free) ?

Recenly, aaPanel had introduced a free WAF, which you can install on a separate VPS and set it as a single entry point for all your websites. As I'm using panel for my personal sites, i didn't tested this though.

  • I recently found this little nifty chinese hosting panel and I've liked what I have seen so far. It's pretty simple, let's you handle firewall, SSHd settings, crons, certs, DBs & websites and it even has app installer for things like wordpress, phpmyadmin, gitea, etc.

On top of it all it also has docker manager and it will let you enter the contents of a compose.yaml file and it will create everything and manage the containers

    https://github.com/1Panel-dev/1Panel

I had to install it using my phone AR translator but once it is installed you can just go to settings and change to english

Pricing is the same — f@ck the chinese censorship ☝️

is that UFW integration? i mentioned about a dedicated standalone WAF recently launched. This can be installed on a standalone VPS and act as a single entry point for websites. UFW and NGINX free waf is already available with aapanel.

it seems similar to aapanel, aapanel has become so much bloated with ads that it's really annoying and unusable by now. Back then it was so clean interface and fast.

  • The number of services on 1panel is impressive!
I definitely have to test it
