Your experiences with Storage vps providers
As the title suggests, I am curious what providers up to this point you've had a decent experience with and would recommend. I run a site called oldhandhelds.com which is just a file archive for software for old handhelds no one really cares about anymore. I keep backups like a sane person, and up until recently for years I had it on virmach. Now with the site down/no response/etc I want to restore somewhere where I can forget about it for a few more years lol. Not interested in dedicated, as I fund the site, so no real reason for it.
Comments
@VirMach I believe my 1 tb storage has been down (panel is stuck) for over weeks now as well...
Should Europe be an option for you - we have a very competitively priced storage with an excellent track record throughout the years - https://alphavps.com/storage-vps.html . Soon in other parts of EU and US.
I would say @c1vhosting might do some plans.
Highly recommend AlphaVPS
Servarica is great.

Or can just go with a Raspberry Pi with an 8TB HDD stuck on it.

@alwyzon has been very stable for me.
I had a very good time with @LiteServer before building my own NAS.
AlphaVPS storage has been uneventful in a positive way
Hosthatch was ok for backup but not 100% rock solid, read performance may vary especially if you need to send large files, hit with an fsck issue months ago, then GiB to GB, transferred everything out
greencloudvps really great for me and keeper
had a good start with server factory so far. looks like the next rock solid keeper
had a good start with interserver so far. looks like the next rock solid keeper
servarica storage I had earlier. quite decent.
@NetDynamics24 is a decent provider for quite long time.
I have a storage vm with Hosthatch STO, bought it last black friday deal and it has been very good.
@NDTN storage SG prem
@LiteServer Raid10
@RamNode Raid10
@AlexBarakov Raid6
@servarica_hani zfs
All 4 are solid reliable providers.
Thank you for the mention, however we're actually RAID50 or RAID60, depending on the node
Thank you for the mention!
Thank you!
Get a Slab™ from BuyVM and have a peace of mind.
I have a slab in their Las Vegas location since 2019 and its been stable AF.
EDIT:
Damm I had a lot of PocketPC stuff (games & apps) for my SonicView PocketPC. Games like Age of Empires, Plants something and many more!
UNFORTUNATELY I DELETED ALL JUST LAST MONTH! I thought who would even need them! if only I knew there was someone maintaining the archives!
I'll see if I can recover it in any way.
Highly recommend InterServer Storage VPS
I have grabbed three of these already.
One started from 2022-02 (thx for the free credit from @interservermike ), and two started last week.

I tried BuyVM slab one year ago. The slab goes down suddenly and I sent a ticket. The staff fixed the issue, but all the data have gone .
Going to try Hetzner Storage Box next week. (Although it is not a VPS, it is cheap & big & supports HTTP)
I backup to a hetzner storage box. Love it It's been super solid.
50% off reccurring or just one time discount?
Recurring
How can I get these prices? If I go to serverica directly, the prices are higher and limited offers. Is there a link to get these prices?
https://clients.servarica.com/store/black-friday-2021 ?
Thank you! I'm getting one, but the one in Bulgaria doesn't have DdOS support.
I'm going to get the 'Polar bear' and pay the annual fee. I just wish we could choose the server location.
Servarica only has services in Montreal, where did you see Bulgaria?
I can't seem to find it, maybe I was mistaken?
Check us out: https://oplink.net/virtual-private-servers/
We have lots of plans I am sure one will fit your needs. All are DDOS protected as well.
Can vouch for BuyVM too. I'm sure @Francisco won't disappoint you.
Time4VPS has incredible uptime. Cost is higher and disk speed is slow. Very dependable.
