I'm sorry but this is not about patience. Production environment needs secure and stability. When your production server goes down and nobody takes care of you, yeah, you could have patience with their lack of support, but would your customers or clients have patience with you?

Please do not use our Storage VMs to host your customers or any production usage that requires extremely high uptime. We will be making this even more clear in our future marketing.

    Yes, please.

But I have to say, it's exactly this attitude made me to cancel all my services with you. I thought, the right reaction should be "we are sorry about this and we are trying to improve our service level step by step". But every time what I've seen was this kind of reply above.

I mean, if you would put "some of our services are not mean for production usage, and we might respond to your server down ticket once in 15 days" more clear in your marketing, will there still be business opportunities for HostHatch? And BTW, when I waited my server to be back online for more than 14 days, I don't think this could be called a "usage that requires extremely high uptime".

I'm pretty sad right now. I was once one of them, who were defending HostHatch's slow support. But after I've seen many cases in similar situations, I know I was wrong. After all, we are "low end server" users, we are not necessarily "low end" users. Even "low end server" users are paying their hard earning money for their servers to be online!

Sorry if I've made you uncomfortable. This is the last words I would say for HostHatch.

Our storage VMs are meant to be used for backups and other cold/mass storage uses. Our NVMe VMs are for production.

If an NVMe node fails, we're ready to set up everyone in hours. If a storage node fails, we have to find hundreds of TBs of available capacity, which takes more time.

We sometimes sell storage VMs at $1/TB/month. If you are running your customer workloads on them and losing millions when it goes down, then please buy more than one and design it to be redundant in the first place.

Reasonable limitations for the price, thanks for updating your comment. Hope to see some new offers soon, would love to increase my "Hosthatch Collection". :)
