Looking for little VPS with a lot of data transfer in the UK
Hello folks,
Looking for a little something for a friend - just need a small VPS (no more than 128MB RAM, 3-5GB disk, 1 core), and I'd normally suggest him a LES but he needs a minimum of 500GB data transfer. A location anywhere in the UK is fine, it's just for VPN so he can use the iPlayer et al when he's back home in Brazil.
Happy to pay yearly to keep it more palatable for the provider.

I'm also looking for the same, needs are the same, but are rare.
Also, just to be clear, I'm not expecting to pay LES prices for that much transfer.
DireVPS seems to be perfect? (Do reviews though, never used them)
The stuff I've had with them has always been fine but the panel is so obtuse (especially billing) I'm not entirely comfortable recommending them to someone who's not a native English speaker/reader.
Zare?
Does the pricing page load for you? I get a #404, assumed they had stopped doing VPS's.
It looks like RAMHost http://tinykvm.com/ is still valid.
Hmm, seems the page has gone although I two VMs with them and can still create more via the control panel. Signup still works too from what I can tell.
Don't touch it with a ten foot barge pole. Seriously slow support, non-delivery of service and no refund after several promises of one. That's my experience and I'm happy to post support tickets to confirm it.
Its like their so Called DDoS mitigation shower thing
All I see when hitting "Deploy" is options for dedicated servers.
Have £10 account credit that was paid in cash that's now effectively useless.
EDIT: Not that they're reliable anyway. Server goes offline for several hours at a time, support response don't have a clue what the issue is.
It was useless the second you added it :P. Seriously though, my experience there was the worst and I've been with some bad hosts.
I would get one of these.

Code: Xen512at275
Not the cheapest one around but one of the best.

Can't go wrong with that one.
I see, no option to deploy new VM's
Shame, I've never had an issue with them.
LES UK is 200 GB 3 euro/year
Buy 3 of that, get 600 GB
9 euro / year is probably still cheaper than most other options.
Maybe @myrsk can sort something out. I'm really happy with my RSK VPS in UK
That's around 15 hours of BBC each and every day, in High Def. Hope he's going see the outdoors once in a while :-)
Not that unrealistic - I do around 10GB/day with Netflix/HBO/Youtube and some german TV
2TB/month for 1€/Month in london lowendtalk.com/discussion/61015/vmware-vps-with-1gb-ram-20gb-ssd-2tb-traffic-in-uk-fr-de-it-cz-for-12eur-year
Sure it's 15? I make it half that.
That might cause problems with geolocation. Many of their IPs show up as italian.
And Romanian too. However, BBC works just fine on mine.
All sorted now, thanks folks. In the end, @AnthonySmith sorted something out for my buddy.
Told you it was the best option.
