I am looking for recommendations for Asian VPS providers, specifically those that might be running

I need to purchase a VPS primarily for users in China to access my website. My budget is between $8 and $20. Do you have any good recommendations? Special offers or promotions would be a plus. The network needs to be stable, with latency under 100ms.

    Look into:

They have networks within the required latency.
Search for their looking glass and test the network itself to see which one is most suitable.

Their regular plans are all in $8~20/month range.
You can wait for Black Friday to get higher specs with the same budget, but that requires yearly payment.

We're at the limit, but usually goes in stock often (we have email notifications you can enable)

  • It depends on where you are serving. Southern parts of China, then HK or SG would probably be the best. Non-southern parts, then probably Japan. Esp if you are serving Shanghai or Beijing, than they have japan routes.

It's either JP, HK, SG, with stable power and good connection to China. Given your budget is there, try to avoid India, both because of power and political stability, and Geo-political conflicts with Chinese.

Prefer non-Europe nodes. Even Europe or middle-east might seem geographically closer, a) the routing isnt direct and often goes to east first; b) western parts of China isnt even that populated.

Depending on your workloads (e.g. gaming/latency-critical), you might want to ensure you have premium CN2 GT or even CN2 GIA. It usually only matters during the night peak tho.

These websites can help you do China-specific pings or traceroute.
(be warned, these sites are littered with flashing ads and are in Chinese, adblockers dont have a rule for them by default)

You can consider Hong Kong and Singapore

Just buy a VPS directly from Tencent Cloud or Alibaba Cloud.
