serverhost.com/vpsace.com blatant scam (a 5-star featured LEB provider)
Also known as cheapwindowsvps.com, vpshostingservice.co and probably others is a provider listed in the $1 VPS – 1 USD VPS Per Month LEB post by @jbiloh himself, who's affiliated to HostPapa/ColoCrossing, as a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ featured provider.
These guys are affiliated one way or another with HostPapa/ColoCrossing since they all do the same thing:
1. Outsource their support to India
2. Ignore your requests through support, or just pretend to have read it.
3. ColoCrossing IP ranges & ASN
4. Exact locations as ColoCrossing
And pretty much it's very obvious, I don't think I have to clarify much else. We all know ColoCrossing has 1000 other different brands.
This is a provider where I have experienced among the worst performance (I think this even outbeats C1V, crazy stuff) because they just blatantly lie about their provided specs and hard limit their VPS plans to unusable levels. To my eyes, a clear scam.
As always, proof is marked as "Spoiler" and I will try to provide as much as possible.
I've purchased their 1GB plan many times (Server Host LEB – 1GB KVM VPS) (full specs in the spoiler)
1x vCPU Core
1GB RAM
15GB High Performance Storage
1000Mbps Port
Unmetered Bandwidth
Full Root Access
1 Dedicated IPv4 Address
KVM/Virtualizor
Linux O/S
Available in Multiple Locations
In pretty much all of their locations, simply because Unmetered bandwidth is very appealing.
However, I've always experienced the same thing that I've explained previously, all of their VMs have their CPU hard capped to insane levels and 10 Mbps port, despite being advertised as "1000 Mbps" and "High Performance" locations.
The only difference this time is that within the first days, performance was kinda okay, within acceptable limits, and out of a sudden, it got hard throttled.
To be clear, this VM has been idling and didn't even get setup until today that I've noticed all of this. So this is not a case of my VM getting throttled because I abused shared resources.
They even acknowledged this in tickets and removed the limit (or apparently did, since one could still not reach 1 Gbps, but since it's a shared port, there's certainly an excuse there), but since the CPU is still capped, and outright refuse to acknowledge that and just give some ChatGPT-ass responses, they try to blame it into it being a shared environment and host node being congested.
The way I noticed that this is a hard cap is because, when they offered me to re-create the VM again (this time, they recreated in lindub1 instead of lindub6) it got throttled to 10 Mbps again
And steal % is exactly the same. Too many coincidences, right?
It's quite clear they hard limit the plan itself and when they re-created the VM, it got set to the default values once again.
This is the GB5 and steal % before it got migrated (I only have GB5, lost the rest of the YABS )

Who knows if I'll get banned for this, but please, be aware of this provider and LEB recommendations since they're clearly not even checking what they recommend.
I know I'm dumb for trusting these guys like 8 times already, but this is not about me being dumb
I'm still in the middle of a ticket with them, so I'll keep y'all updated if they end up refunding me. I don't want to deal with this shit anymore.

reserve this spot
Can confirm the same, I had a VM with them sometime back, it's unusable. GB5 scores around 80, port throttled to 10Mbps.
As I was on a $1/m plan, just cancelled it after the month.
This is okay but @Calin still has his provider tag suspended
@zGato you know what company is attached to it?
Archive mirror just in case

am i gonna get ban for thanked this post?
He wasn't lying when he said it could beat C1V
Could be easily taken down, better this: https://archive.ph/qAKBf
suddenly c1v looks legit
82 gb5 is fucking pathetic what is that half a core of a fucking raspberry pi 3?
They most likely also own: vpsportal.com serverinsider.com seovps.com
GLWS
Don't ban @zGato
The more shocking part to me is it was able to complete GB to get a score of 65.
ask them if they can double the gb5 score if posted the order id
Come on, there's nothing worse than C1V in this industry. Those who commented above might have had bad, really bad, experiences with C1V, but it can get even worse. C1V is basically the final boss in this regard.
You know what would be funny.
If a bunch of providers, linked to CC would deadpool all it once again.
It can't be a CC brand... as it was not hacked.
yet?
Their Virtualizor enduser panel got disabled just right as CC got hacked
They seem to have applied some sort of "fix" (I assume only network, since the GB5 result is still diabolical)

Apparently, adding an extra core "may better align with my desires"

GB5 score of 80 seems totally okay for them!
They haven't commented about the great 80 IOPS disk either
OP, what do you expect from this thread? Logically.
80 is noob level, they need to get that down to single digits like @beanman109 has done. Only then will they have an extraordinary product!
Awareness for everyone searching them. I don't really care if they issue me a refund or not, I will win the PayPal case nonetheless.
Clearly nothing's going to happen to them, and they won't get delisted from the original LEB thread either.
Since you involved the bilou, do you expect any reaction towards removing this scam offer?
@jbiloh is the original poster of the LEB article, there's no other reason I involved him for.
But also point the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating he gave them. Biloh never comments (or barely does) in any offers, but he seemingly likes to engage in @tpoll threads.
Well, tpol is definitely worth a look https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/T'Pol
Anyway, let’s look how this unfolds… My bet would be that this thread will be moved to offtopic and deindexed. But I’am doomer, so…
