The company is under new ownership and has been for a while. The prior owners and the service offering was suspended by Cogent for a major abuse event and that is when we stepped in to help and take over the brand. Even in that instance it was not a scam but we worked with clients to recover any equipment or provide backups. It just took longer than anyone would want given the factors. There were over 500 owned servers affected. That has nothing to do with our operations and management now as I stated in the other thread where you commented. I and the rest of the LET community appreciate people like you bringing up these sorts of red flags so we can potentially avoid getting scammed and not give them our business. That said, the company did address this before saying that they are under new ownership now. When I first read about the history of the company (in one of their other threads) I decided I was going to avoid them completely but aftering hearing their response I changed my mind. What's the worst that could happen...I lose $10, I think I'll manage should that turn out to be the case.
A lot of people on these forums answer criticism or negative feedback in a defensive manner or even try to gaslight us and make themselves seem like the victim. This particular company sounded like an adult that didn't try to sweep the past baggage under the rug but owned it and at the same time saying that it wasn't them.
I posted yabs results for their Utah VPS instances (not amazing) and have commented about the high CPU steal percentages too. I'm not affiliated with them in any way but just like you am trying to help the greater LET community make smart decisions with their hard earned money. This provider doesn't have the fastest hardware around but it also isn't the most expensive, I think it is a fair value personally. Plus they have been making great strides to try and improve performance which is definitely a refreshing change to see. Not because of what they have said in their LET posts but because of how they have responded to submitted tickets and seeing improvements in the actual performance on the server. Actions speak louder than words people.
So I guess the point of my post is to say yes there have been some red flags in the past and I have no way of knowing if this is indeed new management or not but as best I can tell they seem to be trying pretty hard to do things right and make an effort to keep their customers happy. If their offerings meet your needs and seem like a good value I'd recommend you give them a shot like I did. Hopefully you will be as pleasantly surprised with their service as I have been. To me an 83 cent a month server (their $10/year offering, I don't have one of these new hosts yet) is pretty good even if it isn't the fastest or I have to wait a little longer for them to answer tickets (which hasn't been the case for me but just saying). Isn't that the kind of stuff any sane person would expect at that price? I'll get off my soapbox now.

I would say our policy is a blend of fair use and best effort. We don't believe 1G dedicated is as possible as most advertise and don't believe in soft or hard caps to trick customers when they use what we offer.

You are correct, will post an update for VZ. We have posted YABS for the VZ environment in another thread. Will look to offer it here. This offer posting is for the Ryzen KVM package in NYC but there has been a lot of interest in other locations and VZ EZ. We are hopeful for future software updates and the updated kernel for VZ 8 or VZ9 and as a result still invest in it. If there is no advancement by Q3 of 2024 then we will migrate customers to KVM. That said the VZ7 environment is great with cPanel and we have a lot of customers who take advantage of our VZ and cPanel bundle.
