External mail check using postfix/exim

On postfix or exim is it possible to check (download) mail from other accounts, something similar to what gmail offers on their extra features.

I'm looking to do this at a server level not at the client level, my current setup is postfix with roundcube but I was asked if this could be setup.

well it depends. imapsync could do the trick.

Thanks @jshinkle will take a look at it, on the meantime I was thinking in also testing fetchmail.
