Hostnames, give me some inspiration?

So far I've got :

Our LoadBalancer is called GALAXY Our Clouds are going to be planets in the GALAXY And our Webservers are going to be moons of the planets

So any other ideas that follow this type of setup?

I thought about that, but doesn't make much sense unless we named Router or Switch the sun of which we won't be managing :)

Rename Galaxy to the Milky Way and name some other servers off of other galaxies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_galaxies#List_of_named_galaxies). For example, Andromeda Galaxy may have master Solus installed while the slaves copies of Solus are named after systems within Andromeda. And then have like Bode's Galaxy for the mailservers and whatnot.

The options are ENDLESS!

Trouble is when you name them something like a pyramid with branches coming off, what happens when you replace the top node? It would then start to look silly graphically and the initial idea would be gone. :( Unless of course you name the new server to be the same as the one it is replacing.

We use hostnames based on their function / location / number. All our equipment is labeled SM-LOCATION-NUMBER so it can easily be located in the cabinets.

For hostnames we would use web01-location and so on, once you grow to a certain amount of servers we find this is the best way to keep a decent overview.
