  • Kind of slow here in China, but it's still good to see offer from Asia. :P

  • Why does ordering a VPS require a domain name?

    Thanked by 1TigersWay
  • What bandwith?
    100mbps or 1gbit?

@Xprotocept: The bandwidth is 100 MBPS.

I am getting good results from India.

From Hong Kong, its good too. In Europe, you will be getting much better.
And one problem is due to a sea link which is broken and data is being transferred on smaller cable. It will be fixed soon.

Just put anything and select "I will update my nameservers....", is a common issue with almost all the companies.

  • mountspot said: 512 MB RAM

    No burst right??

  • Which sea link is down? First I've heard about it.

  • Do you give native ipv6 addresses with this plan?

Really quick here! I'm in Singapore, and the results I'm getting are:

Pinging 182.18.143.40 with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 182.18.143.40: bytes=32 time=60ms TTL=51
    Reply from 182.18.143.40: bytes=32 time=60ms TTL=51
    Reply from 182.18.143.40: bytes=32 time=59ms TTL=51
    Reply from 182.18.143.40: bytes=32 time=61ms TTL=51
    Reply from 182.18.143.40: bytes=32 time=59ms TTL=51

Would be good if we could upgrade the RAM.

Looks like it's still usable from central/east Europe (Poland). This is my home connection and I get about 180ms to ramhost.us Kansas City box.

Do you have lower plan, ie: 256?

  • Yes, I'm interested in a lower plan too. 64MB? :)

  • @Kuro , @Circus: Yes, custom plans can be created. Just shoot a email to support[at]mountspot.com with requirements.

  • @mountspot: by custom you mean even as low as @Kuro mentioned? (64 megabytes of ram)

  • is it for new signups or existing clients may also order.

@ksx4system: Yes, we can create a 64 MB VPS. But keep in mind, its really a low amount of RAM.

@SoftGeeks: It is for new signups only.

  • @mountspot I am fully aware of that :) but still, you can do some nice things with 64mb of ram (another DNS server for example).

  • did someone get 64mb or 128mb from them?

  • @rewo: Not yet, I just sent an email to them now :)

  • Just got a quote, $5.50/mo for 64 MB RAM, 5 GB HDD, 20-50 GB Bandwidth, 1 IPv4

No discount for paying quarterly either :(

  • Kuro said: Just got a quote, $5.50/mo for 64 MB RAM, 5 GB HDD, 20-50 GB Bandwidth, 1 IPv4

    lol, kinda expensive

  • @Ksx4system @Kuro The price mentioned was without discount, maybe you could use "10OFF" coupon for the order.

  • @mountspot The offer you posted here seems a much better deal, how much longer will it be available at $6.58? I don't need it right away, already got a few new VPS's that I've been neglecting. :P

I was really hoping for ~$6-8/quarter though ;P

  • @Kuro: The deal out here is going to run till stock lasts but we don't have a fixed date. Probably 15 days more. For the custom vps, we can get you that at $10/quarter.

I know of one that is down at the moment, the Seacom cable has been down between Egypt and Frans since the 16th of October.
