  • Oooh, interesting!

I'm sure there isn't an SLA for network, but can you give any kind of number for expected network uptime, both within China and outside of China?

Sure, no SLA. I can't give a number since the great firewall of China is carzy.

  • Cool offer, do you have a serverbear?

    Sounds very interesting, but

@Jylee said: make a website (good speed to China mainland.), you don't need to submit your identity information to the government.

how do they make that possible?

@rm_ said: how do they make that possible?

If you want to host website in China, you must submit your identity information to the gov. But a little datacenter won't requre that temporarily.

  • interesting, why most china provider doesn't provide debian template?

@johnlth93 said: interesting, why most china provider doesn't provide debian template?

Since I am a reseller, I can't decide on the system template. Many providers in China provide Windows 2003 only for they don't use Linux.

Hi sorry just noticed that link was posted.
That's great, btw just curios is that control panel custom made?

"Bandwidth: 5MB BGP" How's the international bandwidth?

How do i place an order? I would like to give it a go as my 1st china server ~

  • Yeah I'm interested too, looking forward to serverbear results @Jylee

  • Unique offer. :D

@johnlth93 said: That's great, btw just curios is that control panel custom made?

the control panel was made by my upsteam.

International bandwidth may be 3-5 Mbps. I test it from my LA vps.

    visit http://my.starrydns.com/cart.php?gid=7&currency=2&language=english and order it!

  • Hmmm

I want to host a gameserver at China. They will kill me? :P

  • StarryStarry Member, Host Rep

    @yomero no, they won't kill you- -

  • Nice to provide Dianxintong vps,the price is reasonable.I didn't know they have new control panel, their old control panel is inconvenient, you could do nothing with that panel but write a ticket then wait hours until the technician pick up.
I didn't use Dianxintong for website, set privoxy on it for one month, the network is not very stable, but network in CN mainland is always poor,so worth the price.
BTW @Jylee Does the closedown of bbs.siluhd.com hurt your seedbox bussiness with OVH?

FWIW it comes installed with an authorized_keys file already sitting in the /root/.ssh directory.

I am not sure about their platform, but many 'cloud' bases solutions will require that the 'cloud controller' has access to the server by an APK package and/or an ssh key so it can stop, start, restart your server for you. This may or may not be the case here.

I work with 3tera CA AppLogic daily and it functions in this way. All servers are required to allow the controller to be able to connect to control the server via the APK and via ssh. In fact for windows it requires an APK package and the installation of cygin shell access as well to be able to reset passwords and interact in other ways with the server.

To be fair it does say pretty clearly in the first post of this thread that they are the only two OS templates available...
