OVerZold is a new line of cheap VPS designed to meet the need of the modern Low End Box estimator, never satisfied with the RAM available in the other plans of the market.

From 4 to 8 gigabytes of RAM and 40 to 80 GB of disk space an OVerZold VPS is an ideal companion for a smaller, old style, leb.

OVerZold VPS use the same class of hardware and infrastructure of our regular plan, to the last drop.

Q4. Is (insert app name here) allowed ?

    >

A4. Probably yes. We do not allow Tor exit nodes, heavy disk usage such as busy >databases, heavy torrenting, DDoS magnets such as video chat software (the camfrog s>erver kind) and illegal apps/filesharing.

So medium torrenting is allowed? What's considered heavy?

    @Mee said: What's considered heavy?

anything that don't affect the overall IO. If your vps trigger our monitoring alarms then it's not light. Limit your settings and everything should be ok.

    soon?

    I've the infrastructure in place:
8 dual E5-2620 with 64-96 GB of ram and dual port fiber channel HBA and the new SAN Hitachi HUS 150 (a real monster which we share with cd lan) http://www.flickr.com/photos/94050265@N03/8557383165/in/photostream

Testing however is getting a lot of time and we hit a few dead rails and had to start again from scratch :-(

  • I nice sarcastic backslap to the "modern Low End Box estimator" :)

Anyway i'm curious if this is actually meant as real offer or more as a joke? It might be interesting as a virtual desktop running RAM extensive programs such as OpenOffice or Eclipse

  • Sadly not buying one from @prometeus this time, don't got a need for it, but i want one -.- (i have told myself to not waste more money on lebs i don't actually need :P)

Real - but as mentioned above, nothing with intensive I/O, no mention of memory though.

Signed up purely to see if it had a laugh when I tried to sign up, it's the real deal.

Plus, can never have enough monitoring nodes with the level of OCD I have :)

You know, we fill all gaps, from the die hard 50cents LEB to the 5GB die soft OVerZold :-)

Thanks, i've ordered one and will see how good it performs as a virtual desktop. Anyway the service creation email says:

    Service details

    Main IP: 193.183.99x

    Disk Limit: 50 GB

    Bandwidth Limit: 1 MB

    OS: ubuntu-12.04-x86_64

It's correctly set in WHMCS but you might want to fix the email

  • emilvemilv Member

What are the specs of this node?

  • From the thread on defining LEB:

@concerto49 said: You want to see $3/2GB VPS?

@gsrdgrdghd: I don't want to see any 2GB VPS at all. That's the point of lowering the price limit. And if it doesn't stop 2GB offers lower it even more.

    I lol'd - tis just the 5GB offers u order then ;p

    /me exits thread
