Got it.
I am new here, need some advices.
Congrats on your first post
If I do not have the hosting provider tag, I understand that I cannot open offer threads but can I respond to them if I believe that the user may be interested in one of our products or it is allowed?
Your signature is a bit too long...
Anyway, my recommendation is you can try to interact with the community and let others familiar with you first (the requirements are quite simple imo), once you get the provider tag you can comment however you want.
Okay, thank you for letting me know!
Just to understand should I decrease the length of my signature? I tried to make it as effective and short as possible. And it's shorter than yours, so what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
It needs to be max 2 lines on desktop
Hello,
thank you for letting me know. Now it should be fine.
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick FYI that a few days ago we welcomed a new moderator, @Not_Oles
Tom is also part of the content creation team at LowEndBox.
We are so glad to have him on the team. Be sure to say hello!
Volunteering or being paid with your new subscription fees to providers? Just verifying where the money is going
You are welcome to ask him @Not_Oles
Hi Guys!
I am delighted to be receiving funds in return for my LEB articles! Sorry, I do not know whether subscription fees of LET providers are or will be the source.
I thank @jbiloh and @raindog308 for being great to work with! Always friendly and pleasant!
@KermEd I had (have?) hopes of one day becoming a provider here. Maybe I might be in some ways akin to those folks you mentioned who are just starting as providers by renting one server and marketing pieces of it. When I tried that, few people wanted to buy. So, now, instead of selling VPSes, I am working on the "MetalVPS Labs" pitch and also really enjoying writing for Low End Box. I feel your pain, my friend. If you want somebody to talk with, I'm here.
To anyone else who also feels, like me, maybe kinda frozen out by the new provider fees, there's always the possibility of asking politely for a fee waiver or reduction.
Each of you guys has a "Friend in the Box."™ It's amazing the good stuff that can happen!
Friendly greetings from New York City and Sonora, MX! 🗽🇺🇸🇲🇽🏜️
Ok so it sounds like he’s now paying you for a provider tag... yay community. I would hope you paid him for LEB, but it sounds like you aren’t paying him for LET, where your new subscription fees kick in from. So a long way of saying no, he has to pay you. Got it. I can see why you didn’t want to answer that question.
You are welcome to ask him @Not_Oles
Hi @KermEd! Nope! I don't have a provider tag here! Best wishes and kindest regards! 🌎🌍
