RamNode benchmarks

I was immediately impressed by the performance upon signing up for one of these, especially the network performance. So I thought I'd share with you guys all the pretty numbers. I read some good things on WHT and here about them, hope to report back great uptime later. Anyway, consistent with other benchmarks posted here for them. Best overall network performance I've seen using bench.sh to all of the locations it hits.

    Thanks for the post! I will certainly update our website to be more accurate/clear.

    If anyone would like to run some new benchmarks, we've using E3-1230v2s and Samsung 830s going forward. New node with those specs is up now.

  • @Nick_A maybe a LEB offer once you get those up?

    wink wink nudge nudge

    Edit: after checking your site....

    I think I'm going to buy one already

  • Nick_ANick_A Member, Top Host, Host Rep

    Believe me, I've tried! No response via email and obviously we're not on their site... Who else should I talk to?

    Post one in the offers section here at LET.

    I don't even feel bad about just missing a new node, having purchased another last night. The thing runs so fast, and knowing the node is full...dang. So far so good.

    You know, if you wanna give them a shot and you're just gonna sign up on the front page, help a brother out ;)

    @jarland lol when/if I do order one I'll be sure to use your referral link but I just find it funny that you're affiliate number is 007

    Also @Nick_A, post in offer section of LET! If you guys had something cheap and awesome (I mean your cheapest plan is already looking pretty awesome) I want in.

    We didn't yet try the samsung, did you find they are better than the competitors?

    We'll find out! Although we certainly expect them to be faster (as if our I/O need improvement...). We've used them without RAID in our Minecraft business and they run great.

    Running UnixBench on the new server. I'll throw in bandwidth and ioping and report back.

    @jarland - 397 MB/s vs 238 MB/s? Fast and FASTER.
