do you have kloxo HIB template?

  • @HalfEatenPie can probably provide a benchmark inside a OpenVZ container, I'll just provide from the host nodes for OpenVZ and KVM as of now. Based on pre-launch reviews the servers were capable of 400MB/sec.

    [root@ovz-01 vz]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 3.21034 s, 334 MB/s

    [root@kvm-01 home]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 3.33273 s, 322 MB/s

  • wow, that's good.

  • excellent, low latency from Indonesia. But I'm just gonna wait for discount :P

    > Their current datacenter. (CMIIW) <

I use it for game server (just hobby, no profit made), and the network performance is stellar to any place in Asians so far. It's even better than my Softlayer box in Singapore datacenter, which costs 3 digits every month and having some bad latency to some Asian places. Yes, I'm serious. I don't know about USA/Europe though.

And if performance is not enough, support (IMO) is the main thing that makes the customers stay. Kenshin mostly reply my egoistic ticket/request/newbie question between 5 ~ 50 minutes, even at midnight weekend. Always helpful and is not monotone-robotic-formal language styles like in most other dedi/vps provider I tried.

Well, in terms of price/package, it certainly might not be the best offer in LEB. But because I live in Asia, I would take Kenshin's offer anyday over many laggy USA/Europe host. I even considered to terminate my Singapore Softlayer box. When will you offer dedi/colo? Or maybe offer Windows 2008 R2 / Windows 2012 in KVM :D

http://www.oneasiahost.com/openvz-vps.htm > it seems some package price is not updated yet. Might be misleading.

    [root@server /]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
dd: writing `test': Disk quota exceeded
    12281+0 records in
    12280+0 records out
    804798464 bytes (805 MB) copied, 1.17248 s, 686 MB/s

Oh no. I need to clean some of my files (@Kenshin please increase my disk quota >____< ) xD

IIX is crap. 1~5mbps international shared? no thanks.

Hahaha... Installing Cpanel took 12 hours. So, should we buy this?

I'm waiting @Kenshin to throw us some discounts :))

Maybe I will post it tonight. Don't have much time at now :p

  • I'm using serverbear script, so maybe this is the results :

  • Yup sorry about not being able to provide benchmarks. I'll be back tomorrow (on a trip right now) to run a test, although it seems like @ErawanArifNugroho already beat me to it.

    serverbear benches look good.

Indeed, those look pretty solid for a 256MB plan :) Network is a bit meh though, I don't think Cachefly is in Singapore at all (Just Tokyo & HK)

@ErawanArifNugroho I might make a copy button that'll copy all the useful bits of the benchmark to your clipboard in LET format for easy posting to threads.

@LAKid said: do you have kloxo HIB template?

We don't have a Kloxo template, but you can install Kloxo on CentOS 5.8 template that we have.

@NanoG6 said: I'm waiting @Kenshin to throw us some discounts :))

This might be a longggg wait. The reason is that we reduced our pricing as low as possible, yet maintaining it on a per month basis. Any price reduction or specification increase we do gets applied to all existing customers during renewal as well, keeping our prices competitive not just for new customers but existing customers as well.

@Melita said: http://www.oneasiahost.com/openvz-vps.htm > it seems some package price is not updated yet. Might be misleading.

Fixed, thanks for the heads up.

@serverbear said: Network is a bit meh though, I don't think Cachefly is in Singapore at all (Just Tokyo & HK)

Yep, CacheFly is in JP/HK so our connectivity isn't that good. 30-40ms (HK) is about the best we can pull off.

I ordered one and it marked as fraud. Opened the ticket.

    thanks

  • XimaXima Member

ok, removed the fraud status from the order

  • Any xen vps in near future?

  • XimaXima Member

no xen offered, with ovz and kvm it more or less covers both ends of the spectrum. if we did have xen, the pricing would likely be similar to kvm. so in this situation keeping things simple and tidy made more sense.
