Every source game is already saturated to high heaven.
I can't really give you any recommendation other than go with brand new upcoming hidden games that you think could be the next big thing, that way you can get personal with the developers and build a relationship beforehand.
And this comes from experience too, you will not make any money in source games atm other than MAYBE CS:GO but since they're going to be running official servers and the market is already pounced upon by the bigger hosts I doubt it.
Actually, servers are paid by clans.. so would be great to make easier the "add funds" funcionality, maybe also available for guests who want to donate. That would be great and everybody will get a server with you :)

It would also be nice to see that feature have a callback of sorts, so the owner could point it to a URL and have the donor's e-mail, amount, and a custom value passed to it
