I know this is a bit of a short notice,
but those of you guys who want a free server from OVH just check their twitter and go here: http://www.ovh.ie/dedicated_servers/usa_order_beta.xml
They're dropping another 100 free dedicated beta servers up (free till August) in 15 minutes.
Just wanted to let the LET community know!

They dropped some vKS about an hour or so ago as well. Looks interesting but quite low-end.
Still waiting for a dedi that I snagged a week ago, grumblegrumble..

0 • Disagree Agree Thanks@ihatetonyy yeah that vKS was a 128mb ram VPS. I'd rather mess around in a ded than a VPS because... well... I already have tons of VPS thanks to LEB grumblegrumblewalletgrumble

0 • Disagree Agree Thanks@BassHost @HalfEatenPie I got mine pretty much right after clicking the button, for both the vKS and the dedi, in TweetDeck.
Try refreshing the page and/or checking in a client, perhaps?

0 • Disagree Agree ThanksOnce you get the Activation code it can take a few weeks (or more) to get the server.
They have not delivered servers for people who submitted the code on the first of june yet. I myself submitted my code on June 6th and have not received my server. I do see the pending order in the ovh manager though.

Also check the email associated with your Twitter account. Twitter sends DM notifications (with the text of the DM) to your email by default, IIRC.

They didn't put the 1Gbit in though.

0 • Disagree Agree ThanksI sent them an e-mail asking them what's up and this is basically what they told me.
Seems like there's more steps than they really did say. Also I find it kinda stupid how they never sent us the DM even though they said they sent it.

0 • Disagree Agree ThanksI live in the United States. my IP right now is South Korea because I'm here on vacation. When I sent that initial e-mail I also told them about it (put it out in the clear) so... I guess in the end it bit me in the rear.
I mean almost every low end deal I bought here I've always been caught in MaxMind so I'm kinda used to providing proof of who I am.

They say "Today, 100 beta servers #BHS will be available at 5:00 UTC #OVH".
Ok, but is that AM or PM? So confusing.

0 • Disagree Agree ThanksAM/PM doesn't exist in Europe. At least not on the continent. And last time I was in England they also used the 24-hour-clock system.
