@Daniel: They wouldn't let me use my US address and said it had to be an EU address.

(I used the address for Oxford University. Don't tell anyone.)

Just for confirmation from NameCheap regarding the .eu :

The terms are on the .eu page. If the address doesn't check out, the purchase will be rejected.
