Looking for LEBs in "Exotic" Locations

blackblack Member

I would like to add a few more speedtest locations to my project, so I'm looking for some true lowendboxes (64 MB of RAM, ~3GB HDD, 100-200GB of bandwidth).

Locations that are available -

Los Angeles, CA, USA
Phoenix, AZ, USA
Dallas, TX, USA
Chicago, IL, USA
Atlanta, GA, USA
Clifton, NJ, USA
Miami, FL, USA
Jacksonville, FL, USA

Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada

Tallinn, Estonia
Milan, Italy
Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Bucharest, Romania
Amsterdam, NL

    5GB disk space

I looked through there but those servers don't really fit my needs. Too much hardware resources but not enough bandwidth, plus it's $20+ a month. I'm definitely picking up a LES in Tokyo and hopefully @AnthonySmith opens up Australia as well :)

I have used them. They are pretty good. Though network is 15mbps or 50mbps i think.

What you call exotic? Locations you don't have?

More or less, preferably locations that are farther than the ones available.

  • Found this https://ginernet.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=126 Spain about 10£ a year.

And http://lowendgeo.com/ if you can find something there.

@Oliver I think it is runs RansomIT a great little service in Australia LEB deals are here http://www.ransomit.com.au/leb_offers

    @ATHK Thanks :-)

@black the two cheapest offers I have listed on the page linked above would meet your requirements. Sydney is probably better for the DDOS mitigation included at no extra cost via Black Lotus. :-)

Since the bandwidth are expensive, they will you more hardware resources. If you require less hardware, the price will likely be the same...

Should add Iraq & North Korea to your list. NK being one of the most exotic in the world.

I would if I could get one for ~$15/year.

    Hmm!

For NL you could contact @Nick_A he might be able to set you up with one in RamNodes location? :)

I seriously can't believe some of the posts in this thread. In one post for someone NL is suddenly an exotic location, in another the OP "would get" a North Korea VPS but only if it was $15/year. Monday affecting people not in a good way, or something.

Yep. NK would be around that pricing IF you can find someone there.

http://www.tera4soft.com/ - Iraq (pretty expensive tho)

You should also look into adding at least 1 African location. Host1Free offer free african VPS. Decent performance, registration approval takes around 5-7 days.

Located in South Korea, no idea how good they are. Also good luck navigating the site. xD

  • I think for Brazil and S. Africa the best choice is host1plus.com
$2 per month only for cheapest plan.
Also you can use WORLDCUP promo 20% OFF.

It doesn't seem to be working...

    @Black

    Czech Republic: OrelSoft.cz - Free (Unmetered 100mbit)
    Sweden: Yourserver.se 2€/m (Unmetered 100mbit)
    Sweden: HostHatch.com $2/m 1TB @ 1Gbit (or 18$ a year on LowEndStock?)
    Ukraine: VDSInside $3/m (Unmetered 100mbit)
    Switzerland: sshVM.com $3/m (150GB @ ?)

all have more ram and space then asked for but.. still.. cheap.. im sure if you contact VDSInside or sshVM you can get a cheap yearly out of them

  • Remove the Orelsoft.cz thingie. Somehow you can't pay a VPS (not even the free one) cause their system is somehow broken (CC).
